Wizardryish

More Javascript, trying to make something like the classic Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord.

It all broke down when I realized that basing the map on cells instead of individual walls makes adding doors a big problem. Anyway, that’s where it is.

Click on the primitive interface below to begin.

Arrow keys to move, hit TAB to see the overhead map.

I know that these designs went up, like, a while ago, but I have been thinking about them every few days since, and I just wanted to say that they are REALLY awesome. The detail is magnificent and where do you get the patience to make your geometry this amazing

Wow, thanks! Sometimes I wonder if anybody even sees this stuff :)

Most of the details in this image I half-remember from the first car I drove (a ‘76 Plymouth Fury), filling in the space is just kind of Zen or maybe more like a retro future Bob Ross (a small family of mix tapes live right here, and just a little amplifier peeking out from under the dash).

The isometric perspective makes it relatively easy, I just run a 30 degree triangle down the left and right sides of the page and make the diamond-ish guide lines, and when I draw I either follow those or go straight up and down.
